This is our first common blog which is in my view the most essential part of our site. In other words, it's OBLIGATORY to visit it at least twice a week- once to publish and second to comment.
Now about the rules:
Each week you are expected to write one page of your story/novel using at least 10 words/combinations from our Speech Practice lessons of the current week.
All new vocabulary units should be underline/highlighted
While publishing attach a file with your part, DO NOT publish in the blog itself!
All parts should be published till Sundays of the current week 00:00. All parts which are published afterwards DO NOT get any points!
You should comment on at least one story till Tuesday 22:00. Try not to stop at one comment - the more, the better.
Now about the comments: they should be constructive, sensible and useful for the writer. It's mandatory to single out at least two strong and one weak points of his/her part! While commenting you should be specific and quote the exact places you are referring to.
Points distribution: you get up to 1 point for publishing while meeting the deadline and 0.5 point for commenting.

Her cherish dream was to meet her real love and he some day will pop her the question. But Alice and her friends made her feel herself a nitwit. Everybody thought that she was as loony as one dollar coin. Her dreams were shattering.
ОтветитьУдалитьIt was the last lesson, when he entered the class. He was perfect. He was high with broad shoulders; he has beautiful grey eyes and very thick eyelashes. There was a spark in his eyes like a brushfire. He was a real and only. All boys in the world were just a bogus of him. And Nana immediately fell in love with him. But she realized, that she never will be with him. His name was Erik.
He entered, had a look around, noticed his friend and shouted: “Hey, man! High five!” And than he went to his desk. He had black T-shirt, khaki cargo pants and snickers. Everything was gorgeous in him and Nana couldn’t tear herself away from Erik. During all lesson Nana thought about him.
So the lesson finished. Nana began to gather her office accessories and go home, but all of a sudden Erik called to her. “Hey, are you a new bee? What is your name?” Nana was over the moon: “Hi! I am Nana. Glad to meet you!” “Me too. Let’s go to the café and have a yak? You can tell me about yourself a lot, because I really want to know about you a bit.” “Ok, I like your idea. Let’s meet at seven o’clock in the KFC?” “Ok, see you later!” And he run away. Nana couldn’t believe her eyes and her ears. She held in her tracks, because she clinched the invitation from the most beautiful boy all over the world. But a minute later she regained consciousness: “Oh my Gosh! I should hurry!” And she run to her house.
Nana rushed in her room, opened the wardrobe and freezed: “A-a-a!!! There is nothing to put on!” She began to examine her clothes. “Don’t I should go commando to the date?” After half an hour she chose nice dress, made a make up and hairdo and was ready. “Where are you going?” asked her little brother, “Mommy doesn’t allow you to do out !” “Slag off!” shouted Nana and went away.
Erik met her near the KFC with red roses. It was her favorite flowers. Then they entered the café, sat down to table and did the order. The conversation began.
-You look perfect, Nana!
- Thank you! Listen, have you got a girlfriend?
- Oh, you know, I said to her last week that we should see other people. She was very feisty, but I like shy people, like you are.
- You are so cute!
- Can you tell me a thumbnail about yourself?
- I came from small town, now I live in the centre of city with mom, dad and little brother. I’m very religious person and I believe in Gee! And you?
- As for me, it beats me! I think religious bollocks! It has never helped me.
- Why do you say so? Ok, let’s just skip it?
- Ok. What do you like or what turns you on?
- I like animals, especially pooches.
- What about the mutts?
- Oh, shut up! I’m dying to organize the society against the pounds.
- Oh, I goad your idea! You are so kind girl. Listen, you soil your ebb.
- Sorry,- said Nana , who was very confused.
- It’s all right. Listen, what do you think about examination at the end of semester?
- I think it is spelling bee! It doesn’t matter.
The time was going and Nana fell in love with Erik more. She thought that he is her fortune. Then Erik saw her off to the house and kissed her. Now they began to meet. He was her boyfriend and Nana was on the nine clouds. Everything was excellent.
I have read Aisa's story, and I should say it's not an easy thing to comment it without the beginning, but I'll take a stab at it.

I foud this sentence wery interesting "Because only you were not afraid of me! You stand in front of me like a pole at Pole vaulting". Tere is very unusual comparison "like a pole at Pole vaulting".

ОтветитьУдалить1) That day was pelting hard. Jack, Ron and Eddy were late to their first class. A teacher didn’t allow them enter the class so they had to go somewhere else. They had a secret place where three of them and other three girls: Marry, Lizzy and Sayonna spend their leisure. It was a forsaken castle. They obtained it when they were on 6th grade, because they shoved off their venture. They arranged an actor’s circle called “Makeshift raft” and every spare time they had spend in that castle rehearsing.
ОтветитьУдалитьOther pupils share a buzz of them because most of the teachers support their brainchild about forming such a hobby group. They said: “It can helps our children to develop their skills. They could unleash their talents there.”
A stud of this actor’s group was a Jack. Girls used to talk gossips about him and Lizzy. She was so gorgeous. She studied well. It was she who Jack had chosen at blind date last year on Valentine ’s Day party at their school. Since they are always together as far as Marry is concerned, their mutual friend, she had fame in the school as the best singer. She always won awards, monetary rewards in the different song’s competitions. All six of them had compatible interests. They dreamed about big career, audiences, fame and receptiveness.
“Hello, our dear home!”,- said Eddy triumphally approaching to their castle- “We were missing you a lot”,-he continued and rushed into it. Jack and Ron followed him as quickly as Eddy did.
“So boys we were not allowed to the lesson and what shall we do right now”,- asked tough cookie Jack.
“May be we should play hide-and-seek or leap frog? What do you suggest?”,- inquired the third.
“Oh, it’s boring, Ron. Lets just have gags or tell each other your own scary stories.”,- said Jack.
“Bull’s eye, Jack”-exclaimed Eddy. ”So, get cracking!”
“So, Eddy, you first”-said Ron.
“The world is your oyster”-added Jack.
“Ok. Listen. And keep your fear under control”. ”You know, we have a strange can in our school, I mean one of four cabins is separated. And it always closed. One day it dawned on me that I wanted to pick my nose into that cabin. It was as usual closed. Some driving force compelled me to climb on this cabin and look what was there. So I took a broken chair and set myself on it. As soon as I grabbed the rim of the walls, somebody….BITE MY HANDS!!!”
“Doggone it!!” shouted Ron.
“Hahaha!!”-laughed Eddy. ”You’re afraid, spud head”-ЭIt’s just a fib, relax, young boyЭ. “Now it’s your turn, Ron, just be fair and square, ok?”
“Hmm…I don’t know what to tell…”-Ron mumbled.”.. I’m better of telling you one of my funniest stories, ok?” “Have no objections??”
“Ok. The floor is yours!”-responded Jack,” “Take a stab at sparking our interest, please ”,-he added.
“ One day I turned out on secluded beach. It was night. I decided to swim go commando. I was over the moon to swim in a light water. After swimming I lied on the beach and all of a sudden fall asleep.
“Oh, Ron, you are as loony as a on dollar coin. I’m very bored to death”,- breathed Eddy.
“Ok, guys. Lets skip it. Oh, here come girls. We could discuss our future plans about acting”,- added Jack.
“High-five! What are you doing here?,- greeted Marry.
“Nothing, just take a stab at spending free time. Do you want to join us?”,- asked Ron.
“Sure!”, - exclaimed Lizzy.
“You know”,- she continued-“She is going to be a competition between actor’s circles. And we should choose one story, drama or so. It would be help in our central theater.”
“ Oh, really. I’ve been waiting for ii for month”,- said Jack.
“So, what do you suggest, guys?”,- offered Ron.
“Let’s choose a drama!”- suggested Sayona.
“Not bad, which drama?”- said Lizzy.
“Oh, not, it such a bore! If you’ll choose to play a drama I’ll have to concede.”,- said Eddy with displeasure.
“ Come on, Eddy, don’t behave as a misfit.”,- interrupted Ron.

They loved their house so much because it was a paradise for them. They had a shattered dream to live there for good. But one day they were brutally killed. A King was hung in his and queen’s bedroom. A queen was killed with a knife. There were three daughters and all of them were dug in the orchard. One son was drowned in the river. The second was throne out of the window. And nobody didn’t learn who had done it. And it also says that the spirit of that family revenge everybody who will appear in there place.”

“Yeah, I agree to play this tragedy”- said Lizzy with a great pleasure.
“And this author said this story was a real.”- added Ron.
“And you believed him? Come on, it’s just a bogus.”
“ok, guys we are all for this tragedy, aren’t we?”- asked Jack.
“Yes!”- cried everybody by choir.
“buy, guys!”- said Sayonna.
“Buy!”- said the rest-“ See you tomorrow”- said Marry.
“Lizzy, can you stay here with me?”- asked Jack. “I’d like to spend some time with you”.
“Oh, Jack, its too late outside. My mom will be searching for me. Let’s meet tomorrow in our school park, ok? Just don’t offend, please. By the way, will you see me off?”- said Lizzy.
“Whatever you need, honey”- told Jack.
Now it was nearly 8 p.m. Girls and boys were all at home. Next day was a Marry’s birthday. She was 15.
Lizzy and Sayonna was going to give her present. They known Marry was a jewelery amateur. But girls wanted to give her for present something turn-on and they decided to give a pooch with a rose in his gob.
“Gee!”- Marry exclaimed,-“ I have been dreaming about it since my childhood. Thank you. My dear friends! It beats any gift! I was born at the top of the world!”
“We are glad to please you, Marry! Happy birthday!! By the way, you look feisty!”
“Thank you!” said Marry with a large smile on her face.
“Well, we should get together to think about our roles, because the competition is going to start in a half a week and we haven’t rehearsed yet.” said Lizzy.
“Where are the guys?” asked Sayona.
“Hmm..I guess they just played hookie, because today we had a spelling bee.” Said Marry ,”Oh, look, they are coming over us!!”
“Hi, old beans!!!” gagged Jack “Happy birthday, Marry!! May you be happy, wealthy and healthy!!!”
“Thank you very much, boys!” cried Marry.

ОтветитьУдалитьFROM SASHA: i dont know the beginning of the story but the first impression was rather positive,because a hero is Erik))) i guess it will be about your personal experience))But i think you should name your heroine-Galya)))Galya and Erik-cool))))you used an awful lots of new expressions including from past and current english lessons, thats good)) I'd like to predict the end of the story:it would be as usual happy)))i'm looking forward to the whole work)))))
ОтветитьУдалитьI've just read Sasha's story. liked it very much. it is so engrossing and easy to read but at the same time there are lots of idioms and new vocabulary. Sasha managed to use almost all the vocabulary from simpsons. excellent! i'm lost for words!

These are two first pages of my story:
ОтветитьУдалитьHer story began when she moved into the small town in Moscow area after long circumnavigation with her parents and little bro. Her name was Nana. She was an average girl with her dreams and wishes, but her cherish dream was very simple like an apple pie- to meet her great love- the real stud, to go with him to the dates and to die in one day. No wonder, because her favorite story was about Romeo and Juliet, which was written by William Shakespeare.
There was nothing attractive, defiant and repulsive in her appearance. She was rather thin and slim; neither tall nor shot; she has chestnut-colored hair, her usual hairdo was ponytail on the back of her head, but she had very engulfed, beautiful, almond-shaped, brown eyes, sensual lips and aquiline nose. In other words she referred to the “Golden Medium” of girls or chicks.
“New town, new house, new school, new buzzes, new friends and new love,”- thought Nana when she went to her new local school at the first time. It was difficult to her to be a newbie, because in her old school she got accustomed to her ex-classmates, friends and teachers. From one hand, it was very fascinating and curious to collide with changing, but from the other, the newness was eating her very much. She was very frightened that she couldn’t hit it off with her classmates and she will be the outcast, and that’s why she couldn’t sleep all night long before the school. And now the morning began and “What will, be will be.”
With shaking hands she opened the door of her new classroom, but she didn’t have the guts to enter the room. But she did it. The first thing that Nana noticed were clusters of girls, who sweetly chattered, kissed and hugged each other because of long holidays, which had ended today. All of them looked happy, they missed each other and Nana little envied them. And now several tens of eyes gazed on her, some of them with bewilderment or puzzled, and the rest with mockery.
Nana was confused and embarrassed and she immediately blushed. She tried to keep herself in cheek, because she was at the end of her rope. She really took a stab at not to cry.
The classroom was very comfortable. There were several desks, chairs, big bookshelf with a lot f books there and blackboard on the wall, but the pupils looked not very friendly.
“Well, it’s your new class, Nana,”-said Mrs. Smith. ”You are welcome!” “Oh, thank you,”-replied courteous girl and went to the empty desk at the end of the class. And when she was going, she accidentally dropped somebody’s pencil case. “Doggone it!”-Said very beautiful girl,-“Are you a jumbo?” All class began to laugh. “It’s an excellent gag, Alice, high five!”
Nana thought that Alice had an authority in the class because everybody indulged her. Especially several girls, which possibly were her friends, just the travesty of Alice. Miserable travesty. She thought that she should said the deserved rebuff, it should be fair and square, but Nana wasn’t the tough cookie and she just kept silent.
“Why do you keep silent like a ground hog?”- Asked Alice-“I think you should disguise your clothes, it is not suitable for our class .You should know it like a palm of your hand.” And everybody got cracking to laugh again.
“The world is my oyster.”- thought Nana, because she didn’t reply on Alice’s gag.
The bell was ring and the first lesson in new school began. Nana couldn’t summon her thoughts and her minds were wandering. She thought about her old school, old classmates. She was really missing them. They were so friendly to her and moreover she was one of the best pupils and the most gorgeous girl in her old school. And now she is an misfit and everybody hates her.
The 5th page of my story:

-What about Nana?-asked ken.
-Ha! What about your new bike?- replied Erik.
-What do you mean? Is she your girlfriend?
-Yeah!- grinned Erik.-Listen, bargain is a bargain. I should gain Nana’s confidence and became her boyfriend, and you’ll give me your bike.
-Ok, ok! And I have a favour to ask of you! Please, don’t ding it! It is nearly new.
-I promise.-said Erik.
-And what do you think about Nana?-inquired Ken.
-I think she falls in love with me. I am her accomplishment, because she hasn’t got friends, she is an outcast.-said Erik.- And when I kissed her, I cant helped barfing. I absolutely dislike her! My love is Alice!
-Oh my Gosh! Is she so ugly? Have you got her snap? Please? Show me!
-Are you kidding? Of course NO, I haven’t!
-Doggone it! How do you think, has she got her web page in the vkontakte? You can add her as a friend.
-I have her as a friend.
-Cool! Give her evite and go to the joint.
-Do you want me shoot her like a shutterbug?
-Yes!
-But I haven’t got a camera.
-I’ll give you mine irreplaceable Canon.
-Ok. And what for?
-Oh, just one photo. I want have a look to her.
-And what should I write in the evite?
-“Sweety, Teddy bear, I miss u so much, my pumpkin…”
-What a sybaritic excess?!
-Come on! Girls like it very much.
-I think so, too. All girls, but barring Nana. She is very snooty and rude. Ok, I’ve wrote.
-Ok, go to the date! Go, go, in a jiffy! And give me a buzz after it. Now get lost!
from Sasha: "You are my irreplaceable friends!!! I love you!!" said Mary. "I feel very happy with you, boys and girls, but i must confess, my parents broke up their relation, that’s why my birthday can't be so happy. I worry about them. I think they would never be together...And what about me? I would never put you with it. NEVER".

"Wow!! Thank all of you!!" exclaimed Mary.
"Oh, i completely forgot about ,"interrupted Ed "I should have taken some snaps from the darkroom! Hm..damn it!"
"Is it really vital at this moment?" asked Lizy.
"Yes, did i tell you that I’m going take part in a pageant? I forwarded my resume and i received an evite! So, i should transfer my photos by mail"
"Oh, really?! Its cool!" said Sayona.
"Ok, Ed will be waiting for you in a joint! Be quick!" said guys.
"Ok, guys. See you then!» shouted Eddy running away.
The resting guys approached to the bar and all at once saw a lorry dang into a convertible. A beautiful dame went out of the car and began to shout:» What a snooty man! Get lost! You will owe me the whole life to repair my car». She sat in the car and pushed the gear.
"Oh,this man should have a comeuppance"
said Jack.
"Let's enter the joint and take our seats" offered Sayona.
Nudlya, big hand to you!you are possessed of the most brilliant talents, I think! You can spark our interest. extremely interesting. Moreover knowledge of Nadezhda Fedorovna's lectures prove useful to you))

So Erik went to the second date. He and Nana dcided to meet in the local café “Abattoire”. Erik waited for Nana when in 15 minutes Nana met him half way. Erik kissed her, opned the door in one take like real gentleman and then entered the café after Nana. Nana said that today she was going to veg out and she ordered strained spinach and tomato juice. Erik said that it was yak and sickand chose the prosciutto and one sloppy joes. They were eatin and chatting a lot. After the meal they wanted to dance hoedown. The music was perfect and Nana felt big love and lust to Erik. She thought that he was her fate. And she was happy. These evenin she decided to got aquainted Erik with her parents.

-Sorry, but I am not alone.- Replyed Nana.

-And who are you?-Had a cow the atranger.
-I am her boyfriend, and you ‘d better back off here, you are pump-up freak!
-Listen, you are runt, when you went out from here, I’ll bash your face!
-Ok, but now get out of here!
And the stranger went out. Then Erik began to call somebody.
-Roger, roger, do you hear me? It’s me- Erik. Can you come to the café “Abattoir” ? I have a problem with one hillbilly. Yeah, I’m waiting for you.
Nana was very confused. She knew that all problems because of her. And the conscience tormented her. The evening was spoiled and they were waiting for Erik’s friends.

“Wow! My favorite prosciutto and sloppy joes! ” Mary had a cow.
“I pledge my head that you eat it one take” joked Jack and took his glass of juice .
“And what about a salad with a strained spinach?” added Sayona.
“It’s also good but it looks like a cud but I have a terrible lust to the proscuitto” responded Mary.
“Let’s go to the sport field and have a putt after our meal?” suggested Liz.
“Good idea! And now, let’s dance! Do you know what a hoedown?” asked Sayona.
“No - brainer!” responded Jack with a huge enthusiasm.
They spend the whole evening there dancing, eating, chatting and etc. And now there was a time to go home, but Jack offered to wait for Eddy: “How long he is! ” claimed Sayona” He promised us to come”.
“Maybe something bad has happened with him? I think we should meet him halfway ” asked Mary.
“Oh look! Here comes Ed” said Liz”You cut it close!”.
“A it’s totally dark outside and I got into.. manure” told Ed” and I had to back off home to wash myself”.
“Oh, what a drag! Ed” said Liz.
“Helped yourself with a meal, Ed” said Mary.
“Thank you” responded Eddy.
Next day it was Saturday. They met in their castle to think about their play.
“The competition is gonna be in two weeks and we hadn’t prepare anything. So, let’s share our roles! Who would play mother? Father?” asked Mary. Then they took their heroes and started to rehearse. Eddy had chosen a son that lost.
Ad interim Alice was at home. She lived in the centre of the town and had a huge house with beautiful garden, in other words she had money to born. She lived in glitz and glamour. Her parents were local celebrities. They were troupers and everybody loved them. Every day crowds of fans swarmed near their house.

And all of a sudden the phone rang. Alice took the receiver, it was Edward.
-Hey, Alice I have the music to your ears!!!!
-Oh, pipe down, please!
-Why are you so dismal?
-Just skip it! Well, get it off your chest.
-Do you know where is Erik now? What is he doing? With whom is he?
-Let’s get my head together.
-Oh, come on, egghead!
-You don’t say so! With Nana? It was just great! You rejuvenate my mood.
-And I didn’t say Erik about you, he thought, that it’s my idea with this controversy. And what is your kickback for me?
-Bug off! Can’t you help your favorite classmate? And you are great gyp, you have a talent!
-Can you tell me, what for did you venture all of this?
-I want to prove this laughingstock Nana that I am the most beautiful, most clever and most catchy girl in the school, and nobody tell me that “we should see other people” as her!

Nobody knew what in store for them and one day something strange had happened: It was already night and guys still were at the castle together and in a one moment they heard voices: “LEAVE US IN PEACE FOR ONES….”
“Jack, stop hissing!” retorted Lizy.
“It’s not me, I also heard it! Maybe somebody wants to frighten us?”.
“Ok, guys, it seemed to us” said Ed.
“And maybe we have rejuvenated this family?” suggested Sayona, “Because I know a slew of stories where the dead revenged those who bother them”.
“What nonsense, Sayona! There is nothing but the wind” said Ron.
“Pipe down, guys, I hear it again!” exclaimed Mary.
And in one take everyone but Ed swarmed to the entrance and scuttled off . Ed just remained on his place and shouted them: “It never happens if you just return and read the passage till the end ..” But nobody answered his question and disappeared in twilight.

That evening Sayona came home and found out that her kitten was hung. She screamed and ran outside. She told everything to her girls about it. That was written in blood.She didn't know what to do because she was astonished.
"Girls, what does it mean? "asked she.
"I think some hooligans wanted to play you" answred Mary.
"It's wipeout" said Sayona,"I guess i must make a clean break with acting".
"For crying out loud, don't make haste decisions! We will tie up loose ends who did it." chined her up Lizi."Don't be so chiken!'
"Maybe it's parole board released a criminal?" suggested Sayona.
"Oh, Sayona, this can't be happening!" told Lizi"Although it was a lousy act, but a criminals don't do such "kids'" crimes". laughed Mary.'it's time to grab a bite! Do you want brownie which i baked for today's supper? offered she.
"Oh, Mary, didn't you tell us that we wold have wide load due to consuming such confections?' asked Lizi.
"Yeah, it's me, but today we had a pretty much work, hadn't we?'
